Jake's Borderfall · borderfall.org and the Borderfall Chrome extension · last updated October 9, 2026
The short version
Borderfall is a game. It has no accounts and no ads, and it does not sell or share your data.
What stays on your device
Your settings, saved games, and Gold Pack unlock are stored in your browser's local storage on your own device. We cannot see them. Clearing your browser data deletes them.
Multiplayer
When you play online, the commander name you type and your in-game moves are sent through our relay server (hosted on Cloudflare) to the other players in your room. Rooms are temporary. We do not keep a history of matches or link them to you.
Gold Pack purchases
Payments are handled entirely by Stripe on Stripe's own checkout page. Your card details go to Stripe and never reach our servers. To confirm or restore a purchase, our server asks Stripe whether a checkout was paid (using the email and the last 4 card digits you enter for a restore). See Stripe's privacy policy.
Visitor counts
borderfall.org uses Vercel Web Analytics to count visits (pages viewed, country, device type and where visitors came from). It uses no cookies and doesn't identify you or follow you across other sites.
Hosting
The website is hosted on Vercel, which, like any web host, processes standard request information (such as IP address) to deliver the site and protect it from abuse.
The Chrome extension
The extension asks for no special permissions. When you click it, it checks that borderfall.org is reachable and opens it in a tab, or opens the copy of the game built into the extension if the site can't be reached. It does not read your browsing, your tabs, or any website.
Children
We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone. The only thing you type, a commander name, is shown to other players in multiplayer, so don't use your real name.
